Workday Finance: Reporting

What will happen to FRS/DMAS historical data?

  • Some legacy data from FRS/DMAS will be converted to Workday and other data will be accessible through legacy systems for a period of time following go live or through the BI Portal.  The Workday Finance Project Team will share additional details as they become available.

For how long will we have access to legacy systems once Workday Finance goes live?

  • Access to legacy systems has not been fully defined, but will be provided for a period of time following the implementation of Workday.

What will replace Report 90s? Will there be a summary report of open encumbrances that can be pulled by the CCM, Department, Account or PI?

  • Standard and custom reports will be accessible by those with the appropriate security roles to monitor the funding sources they manage and their Cost Centers.  If corrections are needed, an accounting journal would be initiated to make the correction.
  • All reports in Workday can be run on demand by users with the appropriate security roles
  • To learn more about the reporting in Workday, please take the computer-based learning (CBL) module “Navigating Workday Reporting and Troubleshooting for DMAS Users” available in ULearn.  You can also reference a tip sheet available on the Workday Finance website.
